Project Drawdown

by | May 23, 2018 | Environment, Solutions | 0 comments

See Project Drawdown’s video below  on a plan proposed to reverse global warming.  Take a look at its 80 Solutions  …

Project Drawdown aims to  assemble and present the best available information on solutions to global warming by engaging with  researchers, scientists, students, policy makers, business leaders and activists.  Climate solutions exist and need to be explained such that the urgency of the present crises activates  organisations and individuals to implement solutions at hand.

Dr. Leon Clark, one of the lead authors of the IPCC 5th Assessment, wrote, “We have the technologies, but we really have no sense of what it would take to deploy them at scale.”

Explore all of the 80 solutions which are proposed and ranked below.

Dr. Katharine Wilkinson delivers a keynote address on Project Drawdown the the most comprehensive plan ever proposed to reverse global warming, at the opening ceremonies of the #GenerationSDG Summit. 22 April, 2018.

In this 34 min. video, Katherine WIlkinson provides an overview of the conclusions of ‘Project Drawdown’ which attempts to bring together information about the wide variety of possibilities that exist to combat climate change and the impacts each could have in reducing greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere and improving human well-being at the same time. It highlights the need for a vision of what is possible and provides a ranking of different actions. More information about Project Drawdown and the book, can be found here.
